Project Instructions:

Start with the puzzle clear album. This particular album was purchased through Scrapbook.com and is made by Apple Pie Memories. I like being able to see through a few pages of my clear albums so once I make the front cover I design going backwards and then don’t adhere anything until it is completely designed. I like being able to see through a few pages at some little detail whether it be a peek of a photo, a piece of ribbon, or spy a bit of bling. Then build the last page filling the whole page, second to the last filling a little less and so on and so forth. With that said let’s get started.

  • Before starting, apply Glimmer Mist to all chipboard and tags.
  • 80% of the adhesive used on this album is Glue Dots in large and small sizes.
  • Also stitch 6 hand cut hearts back to back so you that you now have 3 hearts. These are now your pocket hearts to hold tags for journaling. There is room for 8 journaling tags if you want to use 2 tags per heart.
Stamp flourish on one side of 3 pages of this album. You will find stamping tips on the Page 3 instructions and page 7 instructions.

Supplies For Back Cover of Album:

Instructions For Back Cover of Album:

Before beginning if you have never stamped on acrylic here is your chance to practice. Since this page is completely covered please practice away. Please remember NOT MUCH PRESSURE please. Just a light kiss on the album. Let dry for about 3 to 5 minutes JUST IN CASE. If you have more questions about this please refer to page 3 as I have added in the same instructions there.

Trace puzzle piece on back side of pattern paper and cut out. Using any adhesive that you want attach pattern paper to back cover, covering your practice stamping. Using glue dots attach chipboard heart, add jewels. Next add the flowers and buttons again with the glue dots.

Page 8 Instructions:

Trace puzzle piece on back side of pattern paper again and cut out. Adhere to album with any adhesive as it is now hidden. Add in any scraps to the corners here and there. Next attach photo, any adhesive will do.

Now it is time to flock. Flocking is much easier with the Doodle Bug pre cut double sided adhesive pieces. Choose the ones you want and attach begin CAREFUL not to pull up the top adhesive piece. Once all the pieces are in place working one piece at a time pull off the top adhesive piece and sprinkle Crushed Velvet Flock on to the sticky now. You may have to rub it in a bit. Shake off extra and blow off the last little bit. Continue with each adhesive piece until finished.

Page 7 Instructions:

Stamp this page with flourish here and there on the tabs as they are all you will see and just a bit of the inside edge of the album.
Trace puzzle piece on the back of pattern paper leaving about ¾ of an inch from inside edge (where the album is tied together). While cutting out the piece cut straight at the jig saw tags so that they show through.
Attach a pocket heart with glue dots. Next add the flowers with glue dots. Add jewels to center of flowers. Upon looking at this page you could add some more flocking if you wanted. Add journaling tags with ribbon.

Page 6 Instructions:

Cut out another piece of pattern paper just like with page 7 placing the puzzle piece down to make sure the piece runs the right way. (Yes I cut one of these wrong) DON’T CUT THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME without thinking about which pattern paper you want to see. Cut a coordinating piece of paper for a strip on right hand side. Adhere piece to album adding the strip with any adhesive. Adhere photo except for left hand bottom corner. Use any adhesive you want with the photo. Slip velvet leaves under corner using glue dots for adhesive.

Page 5 Supplies

  • Paper: Rusty Pickle, Chocolate Kisses, Semi Sweet (Double sided paper)
  • Ric Rak and Ribbon
  • Chipboard heart: Handcut chipboard piece finished with Bubble Gum and Latte Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels

Page 5 Instructions

Hand stamp this page with flourishes again.
Taking puzzle piece “eyeball” this cut of pattern paper. Try and cover about 50 % of the album covering the middle of the album. Cut piece of pattern paper for the opposite side of this page. It is about 1 to 2 inches more narrow than the piece you just cut. Set this piece aside. Attach 1st paper in the VERY center of the album so to HIDE the adhesive (there is a smaller piece of paper on the opposite page).

Attach ric rak with glue dots running across this pattern paper.

Next is the chipboard heart. Again this is with a glue dot. Tie ric rak on the chipboard key. Buttons and chipboard key are attached with glue dots. Add in journaling tag.

Take the smaller piece that you cut just before that you set aside. Attach in the very center of album. Mat this photo with just a bit of white or black card stock to make the photo pop. Attach brackets with glue dots.

Page 3 Supplies:

  • Paper: Rusty Pickle, Chocolate Kisses, Hot Fudge (Double sided paper)
  • Ribbon
  • Tags: manilla packing tags from Office Max
  • Tags sprayed in Pink Bubble Gum and Latte Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels

Using Stazon Blazing Red ink stamp randomly flourish here and there. If you have never stamped on acrylic clear albums please remember NOT MUCH PRESSURE please. Just a light kiss on the album. Clear stamps are great so you can see the placement but red rubber work wonderful too. It is a slick surface so be gentle. If you are nervous about this go to the back page of this album that is going to be completely covered in paper and practice.
Cut 2 pieces pattern paper on the diagonal, cutting extra to hang off so that things line up easily. Lay these back to back with album in between and line them out. Cut off excess on the edges. Adhere with a tape runner or glue stick as they will hide one another. Attach pocket heart. Tie ribbon into free standing bow and attach. Add journaling tag.

Page 2 Instructions:

Using second diagonal strip attach right along the back of page 3 covering the glue here. Adhere with a tape runner or glue stick as they will hide one another. Attach photo with glue stick also but only add adhesive to the pattern paper. Add “jewels” where you wish.

Page 1 Supplies:

Page 1 Instructions:

First adhere one of the pocket hearts using glue dots.
Still using glue dots attach flowers and then buttons to flowers for centers.
Journal tags and add ribbon for this pocket.
