Best Adhesives for Attaching Ribbon to Your Project:
or Scor Tape for attaching your ribbon to your pages and / or albums. If you’re working with a clear page or a clear acrylic album, I think Zip Dry is the best choice; it dries totally clear and it is the least obtrusive adhesive I know of. I’ve found that it works best to use little dots of Zip Dry.
If your page isn’t clear, or if the ribbon won’t be visible from the back because you’re using other elements as well, Scor Tape is also a great choice for attaching the ribbon.
Fray Check — Keep Your Ribbon Looking Nice
Don’t forget the Fray Check! Fray check is basically a fabric glue that’ll help to keep the edges of your ribbon from unraveling. If you want your albums to last and last, I recommend treating the ribbon on your pages, especially any loose ribbons, with Fray Check. I think it’s a worthwhile investment.
Ideas for Using Ribbon in Your Scrapbook Albums:
There are bunches of different ways to incorporate ribbon into your scrapbooks and paper crafts projects. I tend to overload on ribbon and I like to put a little or sometimes a lot of ribbon on (almost!) every page and every card that I make. However, my favorite, favorite, favorite way to use it in my clear albums is to attach the ribbon to the book rings that hold the albums together. I usually tie a bunch of different ribbon pieces onto the upper binder ring for a fun, eye-catching accent.
